Sun images are arriving to the JHelioviewer servers continuously, almost
in real time. This fact could be used to implement a live streaming
video channel. For this reason, in this project we propose to implement a
video streaming service based on the HTML5 language, which is able to
manage video sequences over standard Web clients and servers. Users of
the JHV-channel will watch a video of the last received images, using
streaming (without play control). Several spatial/temporal resolutions
of the live video will be available in order to minimize the cuts
(temporal loss of video signal) in the emission by bandwidth
limitations. A link in the Web page that shows the video will be
available for launching the JHelioviewer client if the user is
interested in visualizing with higher detail and control some part of
the displayed video. |
